If you are interested in becoming part of a company that is focused on improving the world through innovative designs and technology KENNEC is currently seeking to fill the positions in our Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; and Long Beach and Petaluma, CA offices for an entry to mid level civil or environmental engineer.  Applicants should be prepared to work in a highly energetic, fast paced, team oriented work environment with a focus on exceeding our client needs.  Applicants will work under the supervision of senior professional engineers/project managers often using a web-based platform, to facilitate a multitude of large and small projects dealing with, but not limited to, civil and environmental design and environmental compliance. Duties will include:

• Design;
• Engineering analysis and calculations by hand and with computer-aided software;
• Report writing;
• Coordination with State and Local authorities;
• Cost Estimation;
• Computer Aided Design (CAD);
• Surveying;
• Working independently and with a team;
• Working with clients; and
• Field monitoring and construction work.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified candidates must possess a BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with the ability to obtain an EIT license within 1 year;

• Excellent communication and writing skills;

• Knowledge of basic computer programs, internet research skills, and MS Office;

• AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS, 40-hour OSHA Trained is a plus, but not required.
